About Us
Romal and Chantal Gengaya
Romal and Chantal Gengaya have been in ministry for over 20 years and are in covenant with Ralph and Michelle Ellaya. They are engaged in apostolic ministry in the nations by equipping leaders for the work of ministry and currently have oversight over several ministries across the African and Asian continents. They have a deep burden for the body of Christ and to see leaders gather together as the City Church. They also currently host a Pastors forum in South Africa that gathers twice a month in addition to giving oversight over their local church.
In South Africa they have raised up several leaders who have established their own bible schools and are currently engaged in some form of ministry.
Their reach has also extended beyond the four walls of church through a non-profit organization that is engaged in working in underprivileged schools by providing infrastructure and nutritional support.

About The Millstone
The Millstone
The Millstone was birthed in 2023 after Romal and Chantal were commissioned by Pastor Ralph and Michelle to pioneer an apostolic community in the upper Highway area. Romal and Chantal had developed a burden for the region and would eventually relocate to the region in obedience to the word of the Lord.
The Millstone signifies the ministry that God has given to Romal and Chantal. Historically, the millstone was used to crush the grain that was used to make bread. Jesus declared "I am the bread of life" and as such their ministry is Christ centered in all aspects with a particular focus on teaching sound doctrine. The Millstone was also considered a source of livelihood in Deuteronomy 24 verse 6 and this aligns with the fact that the ministry functions autonomously with Christ as its ultimate source and authority, and not any international organizations or headquarters.
In Judges chapter 9 verse 53 the millstone was used as a weapon to destroy the principality that was Abimelech, who had killed his seventy brothers- essentially isolating and exalting himself to become ruler. This ministry destroys the concept of isolation and is accountable to other leaders and elders within the City Church in Durban. Like the woman, who was unknown, this is a faceless ministry that does not seek reputation or status for the work that is done locally and in the nations.
In verse 53 the skull of Abimelech was crushed pointing to the mindset and mentality of this evil system which mistreated the set man- Gideon by killing his sons and built on democratic rule (the votes of the people) rather than a theocracy where God rules. This is an evil system of religion that dishonours the one called by God and builds based on financial benefit rather than fulfilling God's mandate and where there is intense fighting for leadership positions. The Millstone is aggressive against such systems that oppress men that have been called by God. Romal has been given the grace of an Apostolic technician to not only bring down these illegitimate systems but also bring alignment according to God's pattern on how church is to be built.

BECOMING ZION
What do the movements of God look like, and how should His people respond? This message explores how God’s movements throughout history are marked by radical faith, unshakable commitment, and a willingness to step into the unknown. From Abraham leaving his homeland, to Joshua and Caleb holding on to God’s promises, to Elisha burning his plow to follow Elijah—every movement required trust, obedience, and sacrifice. We see that becoming Zion is not passive. It is about aligning ourselves with God’s initiatives and learning to move when He moves. This teaching reminds us that God is not building monuments; He is shaping a people who are responsive, faithful, and ready for transition. Key themes include:
-
Movements of God – Understanding divine shifts, migrations, and transitions.
-
Radical faith and commitment – Living with the resolve of Abraham, Caleb, Joshua, and Elisha.
-
Affection for the house of God – Like David, setting our hearts on God’s dwelling and finding joy in serving His house.
-
Generosity and uprightness – The principle of giving with integrity as David prepared for the temple.
-
Becoming Zion – God’s people as a dwelling place for His presence and glory.
This message also shows how every movement of God challenges comfort. It demands faith when the destination is unclear and loyalty when distractions or opposition arise. It’s not about convenience but covenant. And it is in this covenant posture that Zion is formed—a people who carry God’s heart, His word, and His presence wherever He sends them. If you’re hungry to see how your life fits into the unfolding plan of God, this teaching will encourage you to hold steady, give fully, and walk boldly as part of His movements today.

THE THRESHING
FLOOR
Dive into the layered significance of the threshing floor as we trace two pivotal encounters in Scripture. First, join King David on the floor of Aruna, where he insists on purchasing the ground to build an altar—even at personal cost—to halt a deadly plague. That act of paid sacrifice highlights how genuine worship always demands a price and how God meets us on consecrated ground . Next, walk with Ruth into Boaz’s threshing floor in the dead of night. You’ll hear how her humble obedience—“All that you say, I will do”—unlocks a covenant blessing that secures her place in Israel’s history and our own lineage through Christ. In both stories, the threshing floor serves as more than a backdrop for grain separation; it becomes a powerful symbol of judgment, purification, and divine encounter.

THE UPPER ROOM
Many people have an idea of who Jesus is—some see Him as a teacher, a healer, or just someone they call on in times of trouble. But in the Upper Room, Jesus wasn’t concerned about public opinion. He wanted to know what His closest followers believed.
In this teaching, we explore the importance of truly knowing Christ for yourself. Faith isn’t about routine or being present in church—it’s about relationship. Like Peter, we all must come to a revelation of who Jesus is beyond what others say.
LIFE OF JOSEPH
LIFE OF JOSEPH
In this series that spanned over 18 months Romal did an in depth analysis of the life of Joseph by looking at the declaration made by Jacob in Genesis 49:22.
The key to the life of Joseph was fruitfulness and we pray that your walk in Christ will be enhanced as you listen.
